I am getting a message that my email is already in use when I try to set up an account with The Academic Writers’ Space. What do I do?

You are receiving this message because you already have an account with Wellness Living, the third-party scheduling software we use. Likely you set up such an account for a fitness or yoga studio. If you know your password for your Wellness Living account, you can log in with your Wellness Living credentials. On a computer, log in on the left-hand side of the page under “Have an account?” On the mobile app, tap the pink Log in here box at the bottom of the screen.

If you do not know your password, on a computer, you can either 1) click “forgot password” on the left-hand side of the screen under “Have an account?” or 2) click “Please sign in next to the “This email is already registered” message. After you click “sign in,” you will be taken to a Wellness Living page where you can click “forgot password.”  Enter your email address and submit. You will receive a password reset email (please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive this email).

On the mobile app, tap Forgot Your Password? Enter your email address and tap submit. You will receive a password reset email (please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive this email).

After you reset your password, your new login credentials can be used to access any business associated with your Wellness Living account. Once you are logged into your account, you can toggle between different businesses associated with your Wellness Living account by clicking your profile button (your picture/place holder for your picture) in the upper right-hand corner of the page. A drop-down menu displaying the different businesses associated with your account will appear. Using our mobile TAWS app, you can only access TAWS.

Please note that TAWS does not have access to any information collected by other businesses you patronize that use Wellness Living software. We can see and access only information about the services you use with TAWS.

If you do not receive a password reset email or if you cannot find a way to reset your password from our website or mobile app, we are happy to help you. Please fill out the support form below with your first and last name, email address, and request for us to send you a password reset.

How do I view The Academic Writers’ Space schedule in my own time zone?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Go to Book Now and find the TIMEZONE dropdown menu directly above the schedule. Click the down arrow to open the dropdown menu and select your time zone by scrolling or typing in your time zone. If you do not see your time zone listed, please contact us! Be sure to select Standard or Daylight Savings time (or your local equivalent) at the appropriate time of year.

When using our Apple and Android TAWS app, please note that you can see our schedule in your time zone based on the time zone you set in My Dashboard under Book Now. Please be sure to select the correct time zone on your computer so that your correct time zone shows up in the TAWS phone app.

Our 3rd Party Software company will be upgrading to a device sensitive time zone converter in the coming months, and we will update all of our clients when this change is made.

How do I edit my shopping cart when making a purchase at The Academic Writers' Space?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Click Store on the blue bar at the top of your screen. You will see your cart on the right of the screen. To remove all items from your cart, click the CLEAR CART button on the top right of the cart. Then click YES to confirm. To remove an item from your cart, click the 3 dots to the right of the item and then click “Remove from Cart.” To change the quantity of an item in your cart, type the desired quantity in the item’s Qty box. Please note you must create an account in order to make a purchase.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap the shopping cart icon at the top left of the screen. To remove an item in your cart, swipe left on the item and tap delete. To edit the quantity of an item in your cart, tap the item, tap the quantity box, and select the correct quantity.

How do I book a session at The Academic Writers’ Space?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click on Book Now to view available retreats. Please be sure to select the correct time zone using the time zone converter before booking (see information above about time zones). To book, click the green Book Now! button. Click the green COMPLETE button to complete your booking.

You can book a session right up to the minute it starts (but we encourage you to book ahead). For example, if a session starts at 3pm. You can book at 3pm but not at 3:01pm.

You can book sessions up to 30 days in advance but only through the date of expiration of your current membership (that date can be found in My Profile under Passes & Memberships).

Note that you can view available sessions by day, week, or month by clicking the appropriate button at the top of the schedule. You can also navigate through the schedule using the forward and backward arrows. When using the month view, click on the retreat you want to book. This will open a pop-up with a green Book Now! button. Click Book Now! and then COMPLETE to complete your booking.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, log in to the app using your credentials and then tap Book Now. Tap Classes, scroll to view the available retreats and tap Book to book the sessions you want to attend. Tap Complete to confirm your booking and OK to return to the Book Now page. When using our phone app, please note that you can see our schedule in your time zone based on the time zone you set in My Dashboard under Book Now on your computer. Please be sure to select the correct time zone on your computer before booking in the TAWS phone app.

How far in advance can I book a session?

You can book sessions up to 30 days in advance but only through the date of expiration of your current membership (that date can be found in My Profile under Passes & Memberships).

Also, you can book a session right up to the minute it starts (but we encourage you to book ahead). For example, if a session starts at 3pm. You can book at 3pm but not at 3:01pm.

I just “purchased” a free trial week. May I attend as many sessions as I like during that week?

Yes. You may attend as many TAWS sessions as you like during your free week. You can also access our library of prerecorded retreats, planning sessions, and workshops during your free week. We hope you enjoy your week and will consider becoming a member of our community. Go to Join Today to purchase a monthly or annual membership. We are here to support your productivity and well-being.

How do I attend a writing retreat, Sunday or Monday Reset, or workshop that I already signed up for?

All sessions are held via Zoom and you can enter the Zoom call directly from our website or from our phone/tablet app.

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click on My Schedule in the blue band at the top of your screen. Your next upcoming TAWS session will be at the top of the list. Click Join Session at the time of your scheduled session. This will open a new tab and take you to our Zoom session hosted on wellnessliving.com.

Note that if you click Join Session before the session begins, you will see the message “Your live virtual session hasn’t started yet.” Please refresh this page to check if your virtual service has started. If your virtual service has started, refreshing this page will allow you to join the service.

 On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap My Schedule. Tap Join at the time of your session. A browser page will open on your phone to take you to our Zoom call hosted on wellnessliving.com. When using the app to attend sessions, please note our sessions are shown in the time zone you selected in your account on the computer under Book Now. See our note above about using the time zone converter correctly.

Please note that you can only use “Join Session” from your computer or the TAWS phone app one time per session. If you get disconnected from the call and need to join the session again, you will need to use the Zoom link that was sent to you by email after you booked the session or in the reminder email you received approximately one hour before your session.

To change your email and SMS notifications, log in to The Academic Writers’ Space website. Click on My Dashboard. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Profile Details tab. You can view Communications Settings to the right of your Profile Details and toggle communications on and off. We highly recommend that you do not turn off email notifications because you will not be able to receive password reset emails or email reminders (with the Zoom link) for TAWS sessions. Please note that SMS notifications are only available in the United States of America and Canada. Push notifications are available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia.

How many writing retreats can I attend each week?

 You can attend an unlimited number of writing retreats at The Academic Writers’ Space. You can book writing retreats up to one month in advance on our website or using our Apple and Android TAWS app.

 Please note that time zone customization is not currently available on our Apple and Android TAWS app. When using the app for scheduling, please note that all times are displayed in Pacific time. We are working with our app service to offer time zone customization. Stay tuned for this upgrade!

 

How do I see my schedule of writing retreats, Sunday and Monday Resets, or workshops I booked for the future?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click on My Schedule in the blue band at the top of your screen. Your next upcoming retreat, Reset, or workshop will be at the top of the list. Scroll to see all retreats, Resets, and workshops you have booked. You can also view past events attended by clicking on Past Schedule on the left of your screen.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap My Schedule. Please note that time zone customization is not currently available on our Apple and Android TAWS app. When using the app for scheduling, please note that all times are displayed in Pacific time. We are working with our app service to offer time zone customization. Stay tuned for this upgrade!

 

 

How do I cancel a session I booked at The Academic Writers’ Space?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Go to My Schedule. Scroll down to view sessions you have booked—they will have a red Cancel button on the right of the screen. Click Cancel and click OK to confirm your cancellation. You can also cancel a session from the My Schedule screen within your dashboard. Scroll down to find the session you want to cancel. Click on the 3 dots on the right of the session. Then click Cancel Session and OK to confirm your cancellation. Note you cannot cancel a session that has already started.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap My Schedule and tap the 3 dots to the right of the Join box. Tap Cancel. Confirm cancellation by tapping “Confirm.” You will receive an email confirming your cancellation

How do I watch prerecorded content (On-Demand Retreats, Reset Sessions and Workshops)?

Please note that our videos are only accessible to monthly and annual members. On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click on Watch Video in the blue bar at the top of your screen. You will see images of different videos to choose from. Navigate to On-Demand Retreats, Reset Sessions, or Workshops by clicking on the appropriate button above the set of images. When you have chosen your video, hover over the image to click on the blue play button. Your video will begin automatically. Our On-Demand Retreats and Reset sessions follow the same format as our live retreats.

You may also watch all of our video content on a phone or tablet using our Apple and Android TAWS app. After you log in to the app, tap Videos on the bottom of the screen. Scroll to view the available videos and tap the video you want to view. Tap again on the play button to start the video.

How do I update my credit card?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen. Click on the Billing tab. Scroll down to Saved Credit Cards and click the + ADD A NEW CREDIT CARD button and enter your new credit card information.  Check the “Set as default payment box” and click the green SAVE button to save your changes. Your new credit card will be charged to renew your membership the day after your membership expiration listed under the Passes & Memberships tab.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap the profile circle in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Tap Billing Information. Tap Add Credit Card to update your card. Tap Save.

How do I know the date my credit card will be charged next to renew my membership?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Passes & Memberships tab. Your credit card will be charged the day after the expiration date noted in your Profile.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap the profile circle in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Tap Purchases. Your credit card will be charged the day after the expiration date noted under Purchases.

How do I know the date my credit card will be charged next to renew my membership?

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Passes & Memberships tab. Your credit card will be charged the day after the expiration date noted in your Profile.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap the profile circle in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Tap Purchases. Your credit card will be charged the day after the expiration date noted under Purchases.

How do I upgrade to an annual membership?

We’d love to have you purchase or upgrade your subscription to an annual membership.

To purchase a new annual membership on a computer, log in to The Academic Writers’ Space website. Click on My Dashboard. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Click on Store in the blue bar at the top of your screen. Scroll to select Annual Membership and click Add to cart. Click Proceed to Checkout to complete your purchase.

To upgrade: If you are currently paying for your membership on a monthly basis, please first turn off monthly auto-renew before purchasing your annual membership. On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Passes & Memberships tab. Turn off auto-renew by unchecking the auto-renew box. Then follow the steps above to purchase a new annual membership. We recommend purchasing the annual membership the day your current membership expires.

Please note that you can pause annual memberships and obtain access to the unused portion of your annual membership at a later date, but refunds are not issued for unused portions of an annual membership.

You cannot turn off auto-renew using our TAWS app.

To purchase an annual membership on our Apple and Android TAWS app: after logging in, tap on the Store shopping cart icon at the bottom of your screen. Select Annual Membership by tapping on Add to Cart. To complete your purchase, go to your cart by tapping on the shopping cart icon at the top left of your screen. Tap Make a Payment to continue.

How can I stop my monthly membership from auto-renewing?

To pause your monthly membership, on a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Passes & Memberships tab. Turn off auto-renew by unchecking the auto-renew box. To avoid being charged for the next month, turn off auto-renew by midnight Pacific Time on the day your membership expires. Otherwise, you will be charged the next day. Please note that as a monthly member, you will retain access to The Academic Writers’ Space through the expiration date of the current month of paid service. Monthly memberships cannot be paused part-way through a paid month of service. You cannot turn off auto-renew using our TAWS app.

You can purchase a new membership and rejoin the community at any point if your membership has lapsed. Go our Store in My Dashboard or click JOIN TODAY on our website to buy a new membership.

 

How do I resume a monthly membership if I paused auto-renew?

If you paused your monthly membership, you will need to purchase a new membership. On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click on Store in the blue bar at the top of your screen. Scroll to select Monthly Membership and click Add to cart. Click Sign Contract to complete your purchase.

To purchase a new monthly membership on our Apple and Android TAWS app: after logging in, tap on the Store shopping cart icon at the bottom of your screen. Select Monthly Membership by tapping on Add to Cart. To complete your purchase, go to your cart by tapping on the shopping cart icon at the top left of your screen. Tap Make a Payment to continue.

How can I pause an annual membership?

Pausing your annual membership allows you to take time away from TAWS and then return, extending the annual membership period when you resume based on the number of months and days remaining at the time you pause your membership. For example, if you pause your membership for 3 months, 3 months will be added to the original expiration date of your annual membership. While your annual membership is paused, you will not have access to TAWS sessions or to our videos. Annual memberships can be paused at any point by emailing your request to frontdesk@theacademicwritersspace.com. Your membership will be manually paused within 72 hours.

We kindly ask that you pause annual memberships only one time.

If you plan to use your entire annual membership without interruption and simply do not wish to auto-renew, you can turn off auto-renew. On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Passes & Memberships tab. Turn off auto-renew by unchecking the auto-renew box. To avoid being charged for the next month, turn off auto-renew by midnight Pacific Time on the day your membership expires. Please note: as an annual member, you will retain access to The Academic Writers’ Space through the expiration date of your annual membership unless you email us to pause your membership.

You cannot turn off auto-renew using our TAWS app.

I paused my annual membership account. How do I resume?

If you paused your annual membership and want to resume, email your request to frontdesk@theacademicwritersspace.com, and your membership will be reactivated within 72 hours. You will be notified by email when it is reactivated.

How do I cancel my membership with The Academic Writers’ Space?

You can cancel your membership at The Academic Writers’ Space by emailing your request to frontdesk@theacademicwritersspace.com. Your membership will be cancelled within 72 hours, and you will receive confirmation of the cancellation by email.

 While waiting for the cancellation, we suggest that you also turn off auto-renew. On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account.  Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Passes & Memberships tab. Turn off auto-renew by unchecking the auto-renew box. To avoid being charged for the next month/year, turn off auto-renew by midnight Pacific Time on the day your membership expires. Otherwise, you will be charged the next day.

You cannot turn off auto-renew using our TAWS app.

Once you cancel your membership, you will retain access to The Academic Writers’ Space until your current paid subscription period ends. You can of course rejoin any time in the future. Email frontdesk@theacademicwritersspace with any questions about cancellation.

I received an email informing me that my credit card payment failed. What should I do?

To update your credit card on a computer, log in to The Academic Writers’ Space website. Click My Dashboard. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen. Click on the Billing tab. Scroll down to Saved Credit Cards and click the + Add a New Credit Card button and enter your new credit card information.  Check the “Set as default payment box” and click the green SAVE button to save your changes.

Once you change your credit card details, you will need to go to our Store in the top right-hand corner and purchase a new membership (monthly or annual). Once your purchase is completed, you can immediately resume access to The Academic Writers’ Space. Please contact us using the contact form below if you have any further questions about access to your account.

I am receiving an error message saying I don't have access to booking live sessions or watching pre-recorded videos. What do I do?

 If you are not able to book a retreat or access video content, it is likely that your credit card expired, or your membership expired.

To update your credit card on a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen. Click on the Billing tab. Scroll down to Saved Credit Cards and click the + ADD A NEW CREDIT CARD button and enter your new credit card information.  Check the “Set as default payment box” and click the green SAVE button to save your changes.

How do I change my communication settings? (SMS Notifications, Push Notifications, Subscribe to News & Updates of The Academic Writers’ Space)

On a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Profile Details tab. You can view Communications Settings to the right of your Profile Settings and toggle communications on and off. 

We highly recommend that you do not turn off email notifications because you will not be able to receive password reset emails or email reminders (with the Zoom link) for TAWS sessions. Please note that SMS notifications are only available in the United States of America and Canada. Push notifications are available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap on the profile circle in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Tap Settings to change your notification settings.

When I am in the Overview of My Profile, I see a + Family Member button. What is that and can I use it?

 The + Family Member button is a software function that we are not using at TAWS. Kindly disregard.

Where can I review the most recent waiver and/or contract I signed agreeing to the terms and conditions of The Academic Writers’ Space?

To view your most recent waiver and/or contract on a computer, go to our website and click My Dashboard in the upper righthand corner. This will open a new tab and take you to your member portal hosted on wellnessliving.com. Log in to your account. Click My Profile on the blue bar at the top of your screen.  Click on the Waiver tab or the Contracts tab.

On our Apple and Android TAWS app, tap on the profile circle in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Tap Waiver. Contracts can be seen only in My Profile on the computer.

Does The Academic Writers' Space provide one-on-one consultations, individual coaching, editing, consulting, or technical services?

We do not offer one-on-one assistance through The Academic Writers’ Space. We do offer select workshops that help you develop a variety of academic research and writing skills. Our sister company, The Dissertation Coach, is available for students and other scholars who need coaching support and/or technical assistance to complete a dissertation, thesis, or other academic project.
